What I offer

I provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which children can develop and learn and most importantly have lots of fun. As a mum myself, I understand that it can be a very hard decision to choose someone else to look after your children and I aim to make the transition for you going back to work as smooth as possible.

Every child is an individual and they will all be treated with respect. I believe in enabling children to discover, explore and experiment in their surroundings using their natural curiosity, using their ideas to obtain the right balance between child-led and adult-led play. I offer a wide range of toys and activities for all age ranges, including dressing up clothes, games, jigsaws, crafts, outdoor toys and much more. I believe that the outdoor environment can be where some children learn best, and for that reason we have lots of outdoor resources to enable children to have the balance of indoor and the outdoor environment.

I am happy to provide all meals, which will be healthy and nutritious using vegetables, some grown by the children in our vegetable garden. Children can then pick the vegetables and will be involved in preparing food for them to eat. Being involved in the preperation of food will not only prompt language developmet and knowledge of the world we live in, it can also encourage them to experiment and try new foods.

I have set policies and procedures in place and I will work alongside parents and carers as well as schools and other childcare providers to enable children to feel as settled as possible. I provide a learning Journey for each child with regular observations, lots of photos, artwork and next steps planning. This enables me to plan for and build on each child’s individual needs.

Learning through play is the foundation of any child learning and development curve, and most of all I want it to be fun and I want parents to be a part of it too!!!
